Ethio Expat Desk is the trusted information desk for expats in Ethiopia - providing practical tools, cultural insight, and clear guidance so global professionals can move, live, and operate with confidence.

EED was created by two brothers - one an Ethiopian diaspora living in France, and the other based in Ethiopia - who experienced firsthand the challenges of navigating life in the country from both perspectives. During a long stay back in Ethiopia, the diaspora co-founder faced many of the same questions, frustrations, and information gaps that expats commonly encounter, while the local co-founder brought deep on-the-ground knowledge and resourcefulness from living in Ethiopia. By combining real expat challenges with local insight, we created Ethiopia Expat Desk as a practical, organized, and trustworthy place where expats can find clear answers, ask questions, and better navigate life in Ethiopia.
